Answer:

11 : 05 A.M.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Suzi began fishing at 10:50 A.M and fished until 11:30.

James finished fishing at 11:45 A.M.

He fished for the same length of time as Suzi.

Question asked:

At what time James start fishing?

Solution:

First of all we will find how long Suzi fished and to find we will subtract when she began from when she finished fishing:-

Hour Minutes

11 30 ( Taking 1 carry from hour, means 60 min)

- 10 50 ( 60 + 30 = 90 min - 50 min = 40 min)

0 hour 40 minutes

( 11 hour - 1 hour = 10 hours, 1 hour carry given)

( 10 hours - 10 hours = 00 hours )

That means she fished 40 minutes and James also fished 40 minutes.

Now, to know, at what time James start fishing, we will subtract when he finished fishing from 40 minutes.

Hour Minutes

11 45

- 00 40

11 05

Thus, James start fishing at 11 : 05 A.M.

What is the least common denominator of 4/x * -4/2x^2?
Vanyuwa [196]
The least common denominator would be 2x^2
that is because you would have to multiply the first fraction by 2x
but you can't just somehow simplify 2x^2, it wouldn't be right
4/x * -4/2x^2
2x*4/(2x*x) * -4/2x^2
8x /2x^2 * -4/2x^2
Then you would complete it

Hope this helps :)
