The United States declaration of independence was the pronouncement that was adopted by the second continental congress meeting that took place in Pennsylvania on July 4, 1776. The main point of this declaration was that it announced that all the 13 colonies which were at war against Great Britain were and will be regarded as the sovereign states and they were no more under the British Rule.

President of the United States of that time, Thomas Jefferson presented this declaration and he gave example of England which was then under the rule of the king of England, Jefferson stated that there was a need of written document and government should act according to that document because if there will be no written constitution, then the government will act like monarch which was happening in England. He stated that because he was the support of a written document as according to Jefferson, a written document will set rules and regulations for the government as well just like the people.
