Answer: Sue spends travelling 3.5 hours and spends stationary 2.5 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

The attached image shows Sue's distance-time graph, from there we can observe the segments where she is stationary (lines with no slope) and the segments where she is travelling (lines with slope).

<u>Time spent travelling:</u>

From 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. is 1 hour

From 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. is 0.5 hour

From 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. is 1.5 hours

From 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. is 0.5 hour

Total time travelling=1 h+0.5 h+1.5h+0.5h=3.5 h

<u>Time spent stationary:</u>

From 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. is 0.5 hour

From 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. is 1 hour

From 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. is 1 hour

Total time travelling=0.5 h+1 h+1h=2.5 h

Describe 2 ways you could evaluate 37% of the sum of 27 3/5 and 15/9
miskamm [114]
First way is create an equation like this:
0.37(27 \frac{3}{5}+ \frac{15}{9})
and calculating it.
Second way is to find 37% of each number and then add it
0.37*27 \frac{3}{5} + 0.37* \frac{15}{9}
In both cases the result is 10.829

You are riding the swings at a fair. What are the coordinates of your location after a rotation of 180°?
nekit [7.7K]

Answer:

(6, -3)

Step-by-step explanation:

The actual coordinates are x = -6 and y = 3

If we rotate 180 degrees and the center of rotation is at (0,0), all we need to do is invert the signal of each axis, that is, we invert the sign of the original x-coordinate and invert the signal of the original y-coordinate.

So the final x-coordinate is - (-6) = 6

And the final y-coordinate is - (3) = -3

So the coordinates will be (6, -3).

What percent of increase for a population that changed from 25,000 to 30,000
tiny-mole [99]

percent of increase for a population that changed from 25,000 to 30,000

Increase in population = 30,000 - 25,000 = 5000

So, the increase in population is 5000

To find percent of increase , we divide the increase in population by initial population.

So percent of increase = \frac{5000}{25000} * 100

= 0.2 * 100

= 20 %

20% of increase for a population that changed from 25,000 to 30,000.
