Answer:

The Sumerian city-states maintained most of their conflict among cities calling free men to battle when it was needed.

Explanation:

In order to protect the city-states from their rivals the Sumerians called upon every free men to battle. It is important to add that they did not have an standing army, therefore, there was no permanent military to defend the people. Each city-state had its own God and when conflicts arose the high priest and the King called upon the free men to forge their own weapons for battle. While they did have a few trained soldiers the majority was the population. They distinguished the trained military with the use of copper helmets. Furthermore, some conflicts arose due to the water canal developed by them. Some believed to have more control over it than others and blocked it for the water not to flow to other communities this was solved by the creation of a wall around the city. Among the weapons forged by the Sumerian free men were:

  • Knives
  • Bows
  • Slingshots
  • Axes
  • Among others.

Finally, the Sumerians attributed the fate of a battle to their Gods rather than to its priest.

Which of the following lists the hierarchy of motor control from lowest to highest level of control?a) Precommand level, project
olganol [36]

Answer: D) Segmental level, projection level, precommand level

Explanation: The hierarchical organisation of the motor control system is only one aspect, besides it there is a parallel one. The motor control system is responsible for regulating movement and as such is crucial for the body's motility, which includes directional movement and reflexes. Of course, motor control only exists in organisms that have a nervous system.

As for the hierarchy of the motor control system, the lowest in the hierarchy is the segmental level. It consists of reflexes and parts of the nervous system in charge of automatic movements.

Second in the hierarchy from the lowest to the highest is the projection level and helps in the functioning of the segmental level, i.e, for the regulation of reflexes and for monitoring the multi neuronal system.

The highest level is the precommand level, which is responsible for controlling the output impulses that control the finest, most precise movements of the body, responsible for starting and stopping movements, regulating the muscles, and preventing unwanted movements.

_____________ is the mental structure that aids in the processing and interpretation of information.
Yuki888 [10]

Schema is the mental structure that aids in the processing and interpretation of information.

Schema is a cognitive tool. It is the mental structure that individuals use for processing and interpretation of information. This guides cognitive processes and accompanying actions.

Through the schemata, people categorize things and situations around them based on some common features and elements, using these classifications then to understand and predict their world.

Sensory and conceptual information is processed, classed, and stored within these mental structures. This cognitive faculty helps one to function in the world by helping us understand things and events, and make conclusions and predictions about different circumstances.

Schemata includes the worldview, stereotypes, and rubrics one has.
