Scientists change the names of taxonomic groups to match current nomenclature.

Answer: Option A.

Explanation:

There are various main reasons why the taxonomists from time to time require or choose, to modify the name of an organism such as a plant. Initially the naming of the plant is treated by the set of laws (The International code of botanical nomenclature). It sets out how to correctly name the plants and how to solve the cases where two or more names have been used for one specie.

It seldom happens that applying the rule requires us to change the name. For example, if a specie named by one botanist turns out to have been before legitimately named by an elder botanist.

Ivenika [448]

Answer:

Color of light/Type of light

Explanation:

B/c by definition of independent variables, these are the variables that are manipulated to see how it affects the other value (which is aka dependent variable). Color of light is independent because you have multiple manipulation which can be clearly seen in the different types of lights and the height is dependent on what color of light it is exposed to.

Additionally,

Dependent variable - the height of the plant

An independent variable is not affected during the experiment. It is what experimenter controls. The dependent variable is called dependent because it depends on the independent variables. Here, the height of the plant depends on the color of the light, therefore the height of the plant is dependent variable and the color of the light is the independent variable.
