August came. We needed extra money, so we sold the old tractor and some roosters. Harvest time came, and we worked hard. We couldn't get all the corn in before first frost came, but the corn was harvested. We picked apples and we made cider. Harvest time is hard, but we work together. We felt good!

Answer:

The answer is:

August came. We need extra money so we sold the old tractor and also we sold some roosters, then harvest time came, we worked hard but we couldn’t get all the corn, in first frost came the corn was harvest so we pick apples and we made cider harvest time, although is hard, we work together and we felt good.

Explanation:

Conjuctions are words used to connect clauses or sentences, and prepositions is a word that expresses the relation to another word in the text. In your example it is very confusing, as you have a mix of grammar tenses which makes it complicated to only add conjuctions and preposition, nevertheless, I added some punctuation as well that could make it easier to understand. The underlines words are the conjuctions and prepositons.

Which excerpt from "The Adventure of the Mysterious Picture" conveys the playful tone of the passage?
ValentinkaMS [17]

I believe the answer is:"A picture!" said the old gentleman with the haunted head. "A picture!" cried the narrator with the waggish nose. "A picture! a picture!" echoed several voices.

In literature, playful tone refers to a tone voiced by the character which is fun, full of high spirit, intended to be funny, or good-natured. This usually used in a low-stake situation within the intermezzo that is not really important to the flow of the plot.
