in mid 1800s, the untied states government stated that large chunk of Mexican territory was belong to Texas. These region contain a lot of resources that will provide the conqueror with a considerable amount of wealth. This made American government mobilized the military to secure this region.
On April 23rd, 1846, Mariano Supersedes declared a defensive war against united states in order to secure that territory.
