Answer:

  1. a reflection across the y-axis.
  2. a reflection across the line y = x.

Step-by-step explanation:

In the image attached you can oberve that the order of tranformations is

\triangle BCD \implies \triangle B'C'D' \implies \triangle B''C''D''

The first transformation \triangle BCD \implies \triangle B'C'D' is a reflection across the y-axis, notice that this axis works as a mirror, that indicates such reflection. Also, when this reflection is applied, all x-values in all cordinates change to the opposite, in this case, from positive to negative. For example, C(1,2) changed to C'(-1,2)

The second transformation \triangle B'C'D' \implies \triangle B''C''D'' is a reflection across the line y = x, that is, across the origin of the coordinate system which is at (0,0). One way to notice this transformation is observing the coordinates, they change of place, for example B'(-1, 4) changed to B''(4, -1)

Therefore, the transformations are:

  1. a reflection across the y-axis.
  2. a reflection across the line y = x.

Answer:

Which rule describes the composition of transformations that maps ΔBCD to ΔB"C"D"?

C. is the answer

Translation of 5 units x, negative 6 units y composition reflection across y = negative x

Reflection across y = negative x composition translation of 5 units x, negative 6 units y.

Translation of 6 units x, negative 5 units y composition reflection across the y-axis

Reflection across the y-axis composition translation of 6 units x, negative 5 units y

What is the result of the first step when simplifying 13-4(x-5)
Maksim231197 [3]
I don't really get this question but simply put, if you are in college syntax matters very much. (13-4) = 9 *(x-5) = 9x-45.. although in this case. since there isn't a bracket around 13-4. you'd multiply by the -4 first, giving you, 4x-20+30 =4x-10

Two buses, bus B and bus B, both use the same bus stop. Bus A runs every 10 minutes. Bus B runs every 14 minutes. Both buses are
Greeley [361]

Answer:

Both buses will be at the bus stop at 11am, as said in the question

Then next at 12:10am

Step-by-step explanation:

Work out the times for bus B until you find one ending in a 0, that's the time they both stop (bus A is every 10 minutes and will always end with a 0)

So bus B:

11.14, 11.28, 11.42, 11.56, 12.10
