The best explanation for this is that Jada was trying to buy something in the time of the Siesta- a short period of time in the middle of the day when the shops are closed and the workers can rest motivated by high temperatures (but actually, there practice of Siesta is not very widespread in Mexico).
The Prime meridian is the line that divided the earth into two halves the west and the east as all map and projection still date have some sort of loss of data and are thus not accurately mapping the earth the presence of prime meridian in the most of the maps is in its accurate place.
Thus prime meridian represents the zone of the divide from where the maps are projected to be drawn keeping the polar and equatorial hemisphere in mind.
As most of the cylindrical, conical and azimuthal type projections have a direct bearing on the areas, distance, and direction but mostly are oriented with respect to the west and east divides that affect the time zones on earth.
