Answer:

a. Labour Force = 70 people

Labour Force Participation Rate = 87.5%

b. Unemployed = 60 people

Unemployed Rate = 85.7 %

c. Total Employment

By Household Survey = 60 people

By Establishment Survey = 65 people

Explanation:

Given

Total number of People = 100

Full time = 25

Part time = 20

2 part time jobs = 5

Looking for job = 10

Not looking for job = 10

Business owners = 10

Retired = 10

Children = 10

a.

Labour Force = Total people in the economy - (Retired + Children + Not looking for job)

Labour Force = 100 - (10 + 10 + 10)

Labour Force = 100 - 30

Labour Force = 70 People

Labour Force Participation Rate is calculated by dividing the number of people actively participating in the labor force by the total number of people eligible to participate in the labor force

Number of active participant = Labour Force = 70

Number of eligible participants = 70 + 10 (discourage workers not looking for job)

Number of eligible participants = 80

Labour Force Participation Rate = 70/80

Labour Force Participation Rate = 0.875

Labour Force Participation Rate = 87.5%

b.

Unemployed People = Labour Force - 10 (people looking for job)

Unemployed People = 70 - 10

Unemployed People = 60 people

Unemployed Rate = Unemployed People/ Labour Force

Unemployed Rate = 60/70

Unemployed Rate = 0.857

Unemployed Rate = 85.7%

c.

Total Employment

I. Using Household Survey

Here, the number of people with source of income is counted

Total = Full-time +. Part time + 2 part time jobs + business owners

Total = 25 + 20 + 5 + 10

Total = 60 people

Ii. Using Establishment Survey

Here the number of jobs is counted. So, those with 2 part time job owners are counted as 5 * 2 jobs = 10

Total = Full-time +. Part time + 2 part time jobs + business owners

Total = 25 + 20 + 10 + 10

Total = 65 People

One good way is to do an online survey so you get the results intantly. the downside of online is that not every one knows that there is a survey.  Hard copy surveys are also good, but the tend to get lost and cluttered.  oh yeah, the more people take the survey, the more accurate it should be

Novosadov [1.4K]

Answer:

A strictly dominant action produces: a higher payoff than any other action the player can use for every possible action of the other players.

Explanation:

A strictly dominant action does not play fair. Here, there is no equality because strict dominance requires all payoffs to be strictly greater.

A strictly dominant strategy is that strategy that always provides greater utility to a the player, no matter what the other player's strategy is.

A rational player will avoid a strictly dominated counterpart because if his opponent uses strictly dominated action he will be come out worse off regardless of which moves other players make.

You are a newspaper publisher. You are in the middle of a one-year rental contract for your factory that requires you to pay $50
Anettt [7]

Answer and Explanation:

The computation is shown below:

Fixed cost is

= $500,000 + $1,000,000

= $1,500,000

And, the marginal cost is

= $0.25 + $0.10

= $0.35 per paer

Now

as we know that

AFC = FC ÷ Q

Now for At 1,000,000 papers,

AFC is

= 1,500,000 ÷ 1,000,000

= $1.50/mo

At 800,000 , it would be

AFC = 1,500,000 ÷ 800,000

= $1.875/mo

MC = $0.35 per paper  and the same is not changed

Now for break even, the average total cost is

ATC = AFC + AVC

ATC = FC ÷ Q + VC ÷ Q

VC = MC × Q

ATC = FC ÷ Q + MC

ATC = FC ÷ Q + 0.35

At Q = 1,000,000,

ATC = 1.50 + 0.35

ATC = $1.85

At Q = 800,000 , it would be

ATC = 1.875 + 0.35

=  $2.225

As it can be seen that

The AFC changes from 1.50 to 1.875 which shows an increment of 0.375.

The MC remains constant or same  at 0.35 as the printing and delivery costs per paper are remain same

And, The minimum amount that we must charge to break even rises i.e. from 1.85 to 2.225. That is a rise of 0.375

Brie signs an instrument in which she promises to pay Carmen a certain price for her Dodge Dart. The instrument will be negotiab
kakasveta [241]

Answer:

B) money.

Explanation:

Characteristics of a negotiable instrument

  1. Property: the individual or company that possesses the instrument is also considered its owner. Order instruments, e.g. checks, must be endorsed for transfer of property.
  2. Title: the person that receives title of the instrument is called a transferee and is the holder in due course.
  3. Rights: the transferee can take legal action to claim the honoring of the instrument.
  4. Prompt payment: the due holder can anticipate prompt payment because dishonoring the instrument (not paying it) results in the "ruin of credit" of all parties involved in the instrument.
  5. Monetary value: instruments carry a specific monetary value and must be paid in money.
