Most of the text below should have been written in the past tense. Read it carefully and then correct the six verbs that are in

the wrong tense. Holiday Diary: Monday We arrive in the middle of a thunderstorm at one in the morning. I take the tent out of the car and try to pitch, only to then realise that we had forgotten the pegs. The kids’ faces stare at me through the car’s streaked windows as the dogs sit beside them. Three-quarters of an hour later I finally manage to wake the site’s shop owner, bought some spare pegs and got us all under canvas. The forecast, typically, is for rain all week. Good old summer!
