Answer:

I don't agree that difference is so radical that people from these cultures can't understand each other. Recently I've read Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. It's a book about a man who moved to India from Australia. Here we can see how a person can change the country of living and get used to another people and culture.

In this passage, I can say that it somehow speaks the truth. There is a reason why we were separated and that entails a huge difference in our systems and culture. Even until now, no matter how strong the connection we are trying to accomplish, there is still that difference.

Which interpretation is a possible theme of Ovid's "The Story of Daedalus and Icarus?
SIZIF [17.4K]

Answer:

D. Childish arrogance and overconfidence can lead to trouble or death.

Explanation:

The myth of Daedalus and his son Icarus is one of the most known Greek myths. It tells the story of how, in order to escape from Crete, Daedalus made wings from feathers and wax for himself and Icarus, telling him not to get close to the water and sun. But Icarus didn't follow his father's instructions and got too close to the sun. The heat melted the wax in his wings, and he fell into the sea and drowned. That's the origin of the idiom Don't fly too close to the sun, meaning Don't be reckless.

The myth shows us that the consequences of arrogance and overconfidence can be as severe as death. Young, inexperienced Icarus ignored his father's wise words, dared to get too close to the sun and had to face the consequences.
