First you would subtract 30000 - 23,500 = 6500

Now divide 6500 by the original number

6500/30000= 0.22

Multiply by 100 to get percent

22% decrease

\frac{6500}{30000} \times 100\% \\ = \frac{650000}{30000} \\ = 21.66\%

The answer is 21.66% or 22% decrease.
