The best explanation is:  If you were to follow the instructions,
then the answer would jump out at you.

The first word on the page tells you to GRAPH the equations.
You didn't do that.  You read that, and you said to yourself
"Self !  You don need to do dot." so of course you're having
trouble finding the answer.

When you GRAPH the two equations, you'll find that you have
two straight lines on the graph, and they're parallel.  Whatever
point you pick on the upper line, the lower line is ALWAYS exactly
9 units below it.  The lines are never closer together, and they're
never farther apart.  Always exactly 9 units.

The lines never cross anywhere.

A "solution" to the system is a point where the lines cross.

There isn't any.

If sample variance is computed by dividing SS by df = n – 1, then the average value of the sample variances from all the possibl
boyakko [2]

Answer:

s^2 = \frac{SS}{n-1}

And if we take the average value of the sample variances from all the possible random samples we will get the population variance:

\sigma =\frac{SS}{n}

So then the best answer for this case would be:

The average value of the sample variances from all the possible random samples will be exactly the population variance

Step-by-step explanation:

For this case we can define the sum of squares with this formula:

SS = \sum_{i=1}^n (X_i -\bar X)^2

Where:

\bar X =\frac{\sum_{i=1}^n X_i}{n}

And we can find the sample variance with this formula:

s^2 = \frac{SS}{n-1}

And if we take the average value of the sample variances from all the possible random samples we will get the population variance:

\sigma =\frac{SS}{n}

So then the best answer for this case would be:

The average value of the sample variances from all the possible random samples will be exactly the population variance

Find the 4th term if the sequend in which a1 = 2 and a n+1 = -4a n + 2
pshichka [43]
a_n_+_1=-4a_n_+_2

dividing both sides by -4, we get:

a_n_+_2=- \frac{a_n_+_1}{4}

this means, each term is its previous term divided by -4.

now we can construct the sequence as follows:

a_1=2

a_2=- \frac{a_1}{4}= - \frac{2}{4}= -\frac{1}{2}

a_3=- \frac{a_2}{4} =- \frac{ \frac{1}{2} }{4}=- \frac{1}{8}

a_4=- \frac{a_3}{4}=- \frac{ \frac{1}{8} }{4}=- \frac{1}{32}

Answer: the last term is -1/32
