Answer:

TRUE.

Explanation:

Cell division that takes place during growth and development of an organism is called mitosis. This can also take place in asexual reproduction. Mitosis takes place in somatic cells i.e body cells that are not even involved in the production of gametes.

The somatic cell of a particular kind of organism has characteristic number of chromosomes in its nucleus. Such chromosomes are said to occur in pairs and can be called homologous chromosomes.

Mitosis can easily produces two diploid (2n) somatic cells which are genetically identical to each other and the original parent cell.

pickupchik [31]

Answer:

22% Thymine

Explanation:

There should be 22% Thymine because of Thymine pairs with Adenine, which on the table is shown to be 22%. (the complementary base pair are always equal). and the same would apply to Guanine (28%) and cytosine (28%).

saveliy_v [14]
If there is not enough carbohydrate available in cells to allow the acetyl-CoA to enter the citric acid cycle, it will be used to make ketones. Acetyl-CoA is a molecule that is important in some biochemical reactions involving protein lipid and carbohydrate metabolism. It function to transport an acetyl group to the citric acid cycle or the Krebs cycle for it to be oxidized for the production of energy. Ketone can be produced and is regulated from the acetyl-CoA. The rate of the production of this substance would increase during starvation or in other words there is less carbohydrates that is available in the body.

Aleks [24]
The correct answer is A.
The use of antibacterial drugs can cause modifications in the genetic material of the concerned bacteria. If the genetic material of the bacteria are modify, that means they have undergone mutation. Because the base sequence of the normal and that of the mutated gene is different, antibiotic will not be able to recognize the bacteria again and thus will not be able to attack it.
