Thomas à Becket was the Archbishop of Canterbury under King Henry II -- who elevated Becket to the position because he believed he could control the church through him. When Becket persisted in standing on his convictions and the rights of the church -- in opposition to Henry -- Henry declared, "Won't someone rid me of this turbulent priest?" His guards took him at his word and ambushed Becket at the altar in the cathedral, brutally murdering him.

According to Aristotle, poetry includes _____. Select all that apply.
Vesna [10]

According to Aristotle, poetry includes Dramatic tragedies and Dramatic comedies

Explanation:

In Poetics, Aristotle gave a broad definition of poetry. He ranked tragedies more than the epic, saying that it has high standards, and dramatic comedies were placed at the bottom.

He advocated the idea of catharsis in tragedy, which was quite relevant in the ancient Greek tragedies like Oedipus Rex, for example. Dramatic comedies were used to refer base matters and not the lofty ones as they do not invoke any sort of catharsis.
