Glycolysis is the process thet breaks down glucose to create two molecules of pyruvic acid. It is the ten steps process in which glucose is break down into pyruvate . Glycolysis occur in the cytoplasm. There is net gain of 2 ATP in the process of glycolysis. Pyruvic acid is the simplest of the alpha - keto acids.

During glycolysis, glucose is broken down in ten steps to two molecules of pyruvate, which then enters the mitochondria where it is oxidized through the tricarboxylic acid cycle to carbon dioxide and water. Glycolysis can be split into two phases, both of which occur in the cytology.

<span>The genetic code is redundant, that means same genetic code is present in multiple times, in each cell. it acts as "nature's safety net" because if we happen to lose a part of our body or genetic material, it can be regenerated using the remaining part which contains the same genetic code.</span>

Select the false statement(s) about cellular!
RideAnS [48]

Answer:

The correct answer is cellular respiration is a single chemical reaction with just one step.

Explanation:

Cellular respiration is a process which includes 3 principle metabolic  pathways 1 glycolysis 2 TCA cycle 3 oxidative phosphorylation.

Glycolysis is a 10 steps enzyme catalyzed reaction during which glucose is converted to pyruvate.Glycolysis occur within cytosol of a cell.

The next two pathways TCA cycle and oxidative phosphorylation are multi step process in which the pyruvate undergo various enzyme catalyzed biochemical reaction to produce CO2,H2O and ATP in form of energy.

From this point of view it can be stated that cellular respiration is not a single step reaction.
