Building of solar system.

Our solar system was formed billions of years ago when the solar nebula collapsed, and this was the first step towards the formation of solar system.

Solar nebula is simply a large cloud or body of dust and gas. According to the studies conducted by scientists, solar nebula formed when a large body of cloud deflated, the reason must be because of the shockwave which resulted from the close explosion of the star, which is called supernova.

Later, various hydrogen atom began to merge, thus forming helium and the release of that energy resulted in the formation of Sun. This way many other planets began forming giving rise to solar system.

How do deep ocean volcanoes form islands?
Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer:

1. Most volcanic islands originate from passive lava flows on the seafloor.

2. These passive flows harden into rock and build up the height of the underwater mountain over millions of years.

3. In addition to magma supply, plate tectonics play a large part in determining which submarine volcanoes will eventually form islands.

4. This volcano, West Mata, erupted in 2009 about 1,219 meters (4,000 feet) beneath the surface of the Pacific Ocean, between Fiji, Tonga, and Samoa.

5. The orange glow of magma is visible beneath the plume of volcanic gases (mostly yellowish sulfur) emitted by West Mata.

In geology, the Radioactive dating is significant because its provides a significant source of information about the ages of fossils and the deduced rates of evolutionary change.

What is a Radioactive dating?

This refers to the technique that is used to know the date of materials such as rocks or carbon in which the trace radioactive impurities were selectively incorporated when they were formed.

It determines the dating of rocks and minerals through the use of a radioactive isotopes, it is also useful for igneous and metamorphic rocks that cannot be dated by the stratigraphic correlation method.

As the carbon dating helps to determine the age of an object containing organic material by using the properties of its radiocarbon, it is considered a poor tool for finding the age of the dinosaur skull in the purple layer because the collagen in the dinosaur's bone has usually long since decayed away and is therefore unavailable for radiocarbon dating.

Renewable resources are resources that can be used for energy, and can be grown back, or remade. Windmills are a good example, since wind doesn’t go away. Trees are a tough one, since they are a natural resource, but they are also renewable, since they grow back.

Nonrenewable resources are resources that take a very long time to come back, or don’t come back at all. Fossil fuels are the biggest example, since it takes millions of years to form fossil fuels.

Identify and briefly describe the major factors which create
dolphi86 [110]

Answer:

tilting of the earth.

Explanation:

Tilting of the earth is the factor which is responsible for seasons. Those areas which receives direct sunlight have hot climate such as areas at and near equator, while those areas which are nearer to the poles have cold climate. During spinning of earth, it tilted which causes seasons. There are certain planets which has no tilting so there is no season on that planet while our earth tilted about 23.5 degree which is the main cause of 4 seasons in different countries like Indiana.
