1. If the denominators are the same, simply add the numerators and place the answer over the common denominator.  Reduce the final answer if necessary.

2. if the denominators are different, then find the least common denominator and rewrite the rational expressions as equivalent rational expressions with the least common denominator.  Then add the numerators and place the answer over the common denominator.. Reduce your final answer if necessary.

Factor the denominators of each expression to find the LCD.

Rename each expression, if needed, by multiplying by a form of one to get the LCD.

Add the numerators, keeping the denominators the same.

If possible, simplify by factoring the numerator and  dividing out common factors from both the numerator and denominator.

Evaluate the limit 12n^3 - 2n^2 + 9 / 4n^3
geniusboy [140]

Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

Evaluate the limit n - > ∞ 12n^3 - 2n^2 + 9 / 4n^3

Divide the expression by the highest power of n to have

limit n - > ∞ 12n³/n³ - 2n²/n³ + 9/n³ / 4n³/n³

= limit n -  > ∞12 - 2/n + 9/n³ / 4

Substitute the value of n

= 12 - 2/∞ + 9/∞³ / 4

Since a/∞ = 0

The expression becomes;

= 12 - 0+ 0/4

= 12/4

= 3

Hence the required limit is 3

What is the solution to the equation y=2/3x+3 X=-2
Bingel [31]

Answer: The solution  is (-2,\frac{5}{3} )

Step-by-step explanation:

it already gives you the solution for x so just plot it into the equation to solve for y.

y= \frac{2}{3} *\frac{-2}{1}+3

y= \frac{-4}{3}+\frac{3}{1}

y= \frac{5}{3}

What is the slope of the line that passes through the points (6-8) and (10,-8)?
romanna [79]

Answer:

The slope of the line that passes through the points would be 0

Step-by-step explanation:

Lets use the formula : y2-y1/x2-x1

In this case lets let y2 be -8 and y1 be -8

And lets let x2 be 6 and x1 be 10, that would look like..

-8-(-8)/6-10

which equals...

0/-4 = 0

We know that the slope of the line is 0
