The answer is: false.

Even though a study guide is usually a learning aid that teachers provide for their students, it can also be an aid designed by students themselves in order to facilitate learning by enhancing comprehension of a course´s literature, aims and objectives, topics and problems reviewed and studied along the course. In that sense, it not only fosters confidence in a student regarding the material that may be covered in an exam, but it a desirable learning tool that all students should have.
