Japanese Reconstruction started in 1945 after the end of the WWII. It was divided in three phases: In phase 1, (1945 - 1947) major changes were made regarding the society and Government. Phase 3 began in 1950 and Japanese future regarding politics and economy was established. A peace treaty was secured. The final phase of the agreement let the US keep their forces in Okinawa and in other places in Japan, and the US also promised a bilateral security pact to Japan.
