In fact in all cases the different members of immune system recognize the strange thing by the spatial organization of its chemical composition . This is called antigen.
I wouldn't think so because it is the magnetic field that Attracts and repels. When iron is magnetised to something don't the molecules lineup in the North the South pattern or something like that to create a magnetic field and stick together.
