  • Being sided into the Paleogene, Neogene, and quaternary. That's from 66 to 23 to 2.6 million years ago. The Paleogene consists of the Eocene and Oligocene epochs as Neogene consists of Miocene and Pliocene. While the quaternary includes the Pleistocene and the Holocene.
