"Body of Civil Law." Many modern countries laws are based on these
laws. These laws enabled the diverse Byzantine society to live together
harmoniously.
Also, after the revolt of 532, he rebuilt Constantinople bigger and better. He
constructed new aqueducts, public baths, theaters, and hospitals, but most
