The correct answer is C) the Olmecs.

The Zapotec and Toltec civilizations both featured ball courts, pyramids, and palaces that show evidence of the influence of the Olmecs.

The Zapotecs lived in the southern part of Mesoamerica, in the region of what today is the Mexican state of Oaxaca. They inhabited those lands from 500 BCE to 900 CE. Their capital city was the great Monte Alban, an impressive city full of building and temples, built at the top of a hill. The Toltecan civilization inhabited the central part of Mesoamerica, in what today is the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. Its most important city was Tula, close to the city of Tulancingo, Hidalgo Mexico. They lived there form the 10 to the 12th centuries and they also built ballcourts, palaces, and pyramids that show evidence of the influence of the Olmecs.

How did the Iconoclast Controversy affect the Byzantine Empire?
Allushta [10]

Answer:

It created a divide within the imperial court.

Explanation:

Leo III prohibited the veneration of images that represented Christ and the saints in 726. He did so for reasons of religious and political order.

This prohibition of a custom, which had undoubtedly resulted in all kinds of abuse, seems to have been inspired by a genuine desire to improve public morals, and gained the support of the official aristocracy and a sector of the clergy. But a great majority of theologians and almost all monks opposed these measures with firm hostility, and in the western part of the Empire the people refused to obey the edict

Why was trade important to the muslim empire
Dahasolnce [82]

Answer: It helped create unity and a money economy, and facilitated the spread of ideas and culture.

Trade was an important economic activity in the Islamic world. Islamic merchants traded with faraway places like China, Africa and Europe. Their trade goods consisted of sugar, salt, textiles, spices, slaves, gold and horses.

Their routes followed both land (such as the Silk Road) and sea, and it passed through cities such as Mecca, Medina, Constantinople, Baghdad, Morocco, Cairo and Cordoba.
