In this question, we are not told which scene in the fil we are referring to. Therefore, that part of the question cannot be answered. However, we can still discuss how Hester Prynne is described in the novel "The Scarlet Letter."

There are three qualities in Hester that are displayed throughout the book, and that make her a unique character. First, we learn of Hester's inner courage and strength of character. She displays these from the moment we meet her, as she quietly accepts her punishment. Hester does not exhibit shame, but only dignity and acceptance. As time passes, Hester continues to show such strength in her dealings with the town, her dealing with Chillingworth and Dimmesdale and her raising of Pearl.

The second characteristic that she displays is honesty. She is honest about her sin. She is also honest about her motivations, and about her feelings for Dimmesdale and Chillingworth. Although she has not followed the rules of the Puritan community, we know that she has followed her personal compass.

Finally, the third characteristic that Hester clearly displays is her love for Pearl. Hester is aware that the one benefit of her trangression was having her child, and she loves Pearl dearly. She fights for her when she is about to be taken away, and she does her best to raise her in a good way despite her circumstances.

Answer:

Madame Loisel

Explanation:

"The Necklace" is a story written by Guy de Maupassant. Having arrived home one evening, Monsieur Loisel immediately told her wife, Madame Loisel (Mathilde Loisel) about an invitation at the palace requested by Georges Ramponneau.

However, this didn't make Madame Loisel happy because all she was thinking was the dress she'd be wearing to the event. She didn't have any dress to wear, thus, she asked his husband the question "And what do you wish me to put on my back?" His husband told her that she could wear the dress she wore at the theater. This even made Madame Loisel cry harder and told her husband to give the invitation to someone else.
