Answer:  a)   2.27 g     and     b)  15384

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : An effervescent tablet has the following formula:

acetaminophen 325 mg,

calcium carbonate 280 mg,

citric acid 900 mg,

potassium bicarbonate 300 mg, and

sodium bicarbonate 465 mg.

a) When we add all quantities together , we get

The total weight of the ingredients in each tablet = 325 +280+900+300+465=2270

Since, 1 gram = 1000 mg

Then, 1\ mg=\dfrac{1}{1000}\ g

Now, 2270\ mg=\dfrac{2270}{1000}\ g=2.27\ g

∴ The total weight of the ingredients in each tablet = 2.27 g

b. 1 kg = 1000g and 1 g = 1000 mg

Then, 1 kg = 1000\times1000=1000,000\ mg

⇒ 5 kg = 5000,000 mg

Now, The number of  tablets could be made with a supply of 5 kg of acetaminophen will be :

\dfrac{5000000}{325}=15384.6153846\approx15384

Hence, the number of  tablets could be made with a supply of 5 kg of acetaminophen= 15384

JulijaS [17]

Answer:

They paid $4.00 per ticket

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1:  Convert words into an inequality</u>

A family buys 6 tickets to a show. They also pay $3 parking fee. They spend $27 to see the show.

6t + 3 = 27

<u>Step 2:  Solve for t/tickets</u>

6t + 3 = 27

6t + 3 - 3 = 27 - 3

6t / 6 = 24 / 6

t = 4

Researchers wanted to study if having a long beak is related to flight and birds they surveyed a total of 34 birds the data are
vovangra [49]

The odds ratio for birds having long beaks being able to fly against birds not having long beaks being able to fly is 3.76.

<h3>What is an odds ratio?</h3>

An odds ratio is a measure of the strength of an association with the exposure and outcome.

The odds ratio can be calculated by dividing the odds of the first group (exposure) by the odds of the second group (outcome).

                             Flies      Does not fly     Total

Long beak               11               7                     19

Not a long beak      3              13                     15

Total                       14             20                    34

Probability of long beaks flying = 0.79 (1/14)

Probability of not having long beaks flying = 0.21 (3/14)

Odds ratio = 3.76 (0.79/0.21)

Thus, the odds ratio for birds having long beaks being able to fly against birds not having long beaks being able to fly is 3.76, showing greater odds of association.
