#10 )  6/x = 5/11       OR     6/x = 9/19.8

           5x = 66                   9x = 118.8

             x = 13.2                    x = 13.2

#11  )  original photo is 5 inches by 7 inches, multiply that , = 35 ( area of original photo )

new photo is "3 times larger" so 5 become 15 and 7 become 21 , multiply that which gives you 315 (area of enlarged photo )

take the enlarged photo's area divided by the original photo's area which gives you 9

#12 )   6/8 = x/12

            72 = 8x

               9 = x

#13  )   set equal to find segment TR :  4/10 = 6/x

                                                                   4x = 60

                                                                      x = 15

then find the perimeter of triangle by P = a + b + c

                                                              P = 10 + 12 + 15

                                                              P = 37

If LM = 20 cm, and PQ = 16 cm, what is the length of RM, in centimeters?
LuckyWell [14K]

Answer:

RM = 12 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

a^{2} + b^{2} = c^{2}

Assuming 20 is the hypotenuse cus there is no picture:

a^{2} + 16^{2} = 20^{2}

a^{2} +256 = 400

a^{2} = 144

a=144

If It's not the hypotenuse:

16^{2}+ 20^{2} =c^{2}

256+400 =c^{2}

656=c^{2}

c = 25.61249695

But I find it unlikely that 20 wasn't the hypotenuse so ignore that unless it applies.

Hope this helped. :0)
