Answer: use the Pythagorean theorem a2+b2=c2 substitute the numbers in

7 squared + 3 squared = c squared so 7x7=49 and 3x3=9 add 49 and 9 which equals square root of 58 since that is not a perfect square you take square root of 58 and you simplify and that gives you 7.62
