To round to the nearest whole unit you have to evaluate the tenths place value.  If the tenths are less than 5, you keep the ones place and eliminate everything afterwards, otherwise, (if tenths ≥5) you increase the ones place and eliminate all that follows.

2/9≈0.2  since 2<5

2/9≈0  (to the nearest whole number)

5) Find the equation of the line graphed below in Slope-Intercept Form. (3 points)
bonufazy [111]

5. Slope intercept form is written as y = mx +b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

Using two of the points on the graph find the slope:

(0,-3) and (6,1)

Slope = change in Y over the change in X:

Slope =  (1-(-3) / (6-0) = 4/6 = 2/3

The y-intercept is the Y value when x = 0, which is -3.

The formula is y = 2/3x - 3

6. Point slope form is written as y - y1 = m(x- x1) where m is the slope, y1 and x1 are a known point on the line.

Slope = (1-0) / (1-3) = 1/-3 = -1/3

You can use either point shown for x1 and y1, so I am using the point (1,1)

The equation becomes y -1 = -1/3(x-1)

convert bottom nubmer to same (12)
1/2 times 6/6=6/12
3/4 times 3/3=9/12
1/3 times 4/4=4/12
20+6/12+9/12+4/12=20+19/12=20+1+7/12=21+7/12=21 and 7/12
answer is 21 and 7/12 hour or 21.58 hour or 21 hour and 35 minutes
