Answer:

The correct answer is D, farming.

Explanation:

The first option is wrong because although shipbuilding was an important economic activity, it was not more important than farming.

Option B is wrong because the Industrial Revolution had started only recently and there had not been enough time for the US to bring tools to improve manufacturing to an important degree.

Option C is wrong because it was an activity made almost only for subsistence.

Option D is right because farming was made not only for subsistence but also for an intern American market. Since the US was still changing its economy after being free from British colonial restrictions, farming was the main producer of goods.

Identifying write a paragraph explaining why the caravel was an important development for european explorers
sergij07 [2.7K]
A caravel is a type of ship made from a single stern caste. These types of ships were used by the Europeans for their explorations of different lands unknown to them during the early days. Up to this day, the way a caravel looks is still debatable and historians are yet to find their answers. Through time these caravels were reliable because they can be easily maneuvered, their speed was incredible and yet they perform safe in the waters. The caravels gained their fame through the Spanish and Portuguese voyages that discovered lands far from their imaginations. Columbus was also said to have owned caravels during his time at sea and he named his ships Niña and Pinta. He admired them so great because of their speed and how easy it is to control at sea.
