The Hippocratic Oath came from Ancient Greeks.
The Oath was named after Hippocrates, a Greek physician of the Age of Pericles.
Hippocrates is referred to as the "Father of Western Medicine". He was credited for being the first person to believe that diseases were caused naturally, not because of superstition and gods. He separated the discipline of medicine from religion and established it as a profession.
The oath states that the doctors will devise and order for the sick the best diet, according to the doctor's judgement and means; and the doctor will take precaution that the sick will not suffer hurt or damage from the devise and order given by the doctor.
