1/2r - 3 = 3(4-3/2) -----> Simplify the right side.
1/2r - 3 = 3(1/2) -----> Multiply
1/2r - 3 = 3/2 ----> Add 3 to both sides
1/2r = 6/2 + 3/2
1/2r = 9/2 -----> Divide both sides by 1/2 which is the same as multiplying my 2
r = 18/2
r = 9
Hope this helps!

astronomers measure large distances in light years one light year is the distance that light can travel in one year or approxima
sveticcg [70]
What you can do in this case is the following rule of three to find the result:
 1 light year ---> 5.88 * 10 ^ 12 miles
 3.2 * 10 ^ 2 light year ---> x
 Clearing x we have:
 x = ((3.2 * 10 ^ 2) / (1)) * (5.88 * 10 ^ 12)
 x = 1.88 * 10 ^ 15 miles
 answer:
 In scientific notation, approximately it is 1.88 * 10 ^ 15 miles

Match the three graphs to the function they represent ?
Mama L [17]

Suppose that a>b>1, then

a^x>b^x and \log_ax

Therefore, since 2<3<7, \log_2x>\log_3x>\log_7x.

Choose an arbitrary x>1. You have that a takes the greatest values at x, c takes the smallest value at x. Thus,

a>b>c and

  • a=\log_2x;
  • b=\log_3x;
  • c=\log_7x.

Answer: correct option is B.

A cone has a radius of 5 cm and a height of 9 cm. What is the volume of the cone to the nearest whole number? Use 3.14 for pi.
Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

235or 236

Step-by-step explanation:

A cone has a radius of 5 cm

a height of 9 cm

Volume of cone =1/3πr^2h

=1/3×3.14×5×5×9

= 3.14×25×3

=3.14×75

=235.5

=235or 236 is the answer
