Answer:

Cell structures which can be seen missing from Clara's model are:

Ribosomes: Ribosomes are the organelles which are involved in the synthesis of proteins Hence, it is the site where translation occurs. The mRNA travels to the ribosomes once formed. Usually, ribosomes which are attached to rough endoplasmic reticulum are the sites where translation occurs.

Golgi-complex: Golgi-complex is the organelle which is involved in the modification and packaging of proteins. Such modifications allows the protein to be transported outside the cell without being degraded.

Why are functional MRIs useful to doctors?
evablogger [386]

The correct answer is (c) They show which part of the brain are involved in specific activities.

The functional magnetic resonance imaging is used to measure the activity of brain by the detecting the change in the blood flow. This is done because the cerebral blood flow is associated with the neuronal activation. The functional area of brain has a higher blood flow that can be observed in functional MRI. The commercial application of functional magnetic resonance imaging is used in lie detectors. This technique is also used in research world and in some clinical trails. Physicians use this technique to see how risky a brain surgery can be. It is also used to learn how a normal, diseased, or injured brain functions.

lbvjy [14]
Considering the choices;
A. more likely to take more than their equal share.
B. less anonymous and thus less cooperative.
C. less likely to take more than their equal share.
D. more open about their conflicts.

Answer; C
In small groups as opposed to large ones, individuals are less likely to take more than their equal share.

Explanation;
According to the Ringelmann Effect, the tendency for individual members to become less productive increases as the size of a group increases. If individuals are more then it means more chaos, communication, more bureaucracy and more of everything, that will slow down things.

Which capillary would be least likely to allow substances to enter or exit the blood due to tight junctions that join the endoth
vodka [1.7K]

Answer:

Those capillaries that have endothelial cells tightly attached have an increase in cell-to-cell junctions, such as desmosomal junctions that are poorly permeable to substances.

These capillaries generally function as conductors or collectors and not as permeabilizers like the pulmonary capillaries that are fenestrated and allow a high passage of substances and gases.

The capillaries are waterproof and prevent the passage of substances or fluids such as in the blood-brain barrier that is very selective

Explanation:

The blood-brain barrier is too selective since it is not favorable for the organism that many fluids, drugs, substances or chemical compounds enter the brain space.

This is the reason why the vessels are waterproof and why pharmacology was challenged to invent drugs that could cross this barrier since it was considered impossible.

An example is dopamine, which in parkynson's disease the levo group is added to dopamine, thus forming levodopamine as a product, this is the only way that the drug crosses the blood-brain barrier and can pass the impermeable barrier generated by capillaries with endothelial cells that are close to each other or closely linked
