1) Crust:
• outermost layer of the earth

Continental crust : crust beneath the continents
- less dense , granite rock

Oceanic crust : crust beneath the oceans
-denser , basalt rock

2) mantle
-largest layer of earth

Lithosphere : Uppermost mantle
-rigid and brittle

Asthenosphere : lower mantle
- high pressure and temperature brings the rock close to its melting point for it to be easily deformed.

3) Core
-centre of the earth
-solid & nickel
Inner core
- solid layer because of high temperature and pressure being exerted by surrounding layers

Outer core
-liquid layer.
