The central nervous system is made up of mainly the brain and the spinal cord while the peripheral nervous system is divided into two types which are sensory and motor neurons. The somatic nervous system is associated with voluntary nerves while the autonomic nervous system is also known as involuntary nervous system. The sympathetic nervous system increases or speeds up a process while the parasympathetic nervous system decreases or slows down a process.

Answer:

The correct match would be

1. central - the brain and spinal cord

2. peripheral - sensory and motor neurons

3. somatic - voluntary nerves

4. autonomic - involuntary nerves

5. sympathetic - increases or speeds up a process

6. parasympathetic - decreases or slows down a process

The nervous system can be broadly classified into two categories:

  1. Central nervous system (CNS): It includes brain and spinal cord and is mainly involved in processing the stimulus and generating the response accordingly.
  2. Peripheral nervous system (PNS): It includes motor and sensory neurons which connect the body with CNS. Sensory neurons transport stimulus from receptors to the CNS and motor neurons transport response signals from CNS to the muscle or gland.

PNS can be further classified into three categories:

  • Somatic nervous system: It mainly controls the voluntary movements of the body.
  • Autonomic nervous system: It mainly controls the involuntary movements. It has two sub-parts; sympathetic nervous system (increases the heart rate, breathing rate et cetera during fight and flight conditions) and parasympathetic nervous system (decreases the speed of a process and is activated during the relaxed state).
  • Enteric nervous system: It mainly regulates the function of the gastrointestinal system.

A carbohydrate molecule is (2 points) a macromolecule made of amino acids that provides structure for a cell and is not soluble
Sonja [21]
Carbohydrate consists as the name as of carbon and hydrogen and oxygen in the same ratio as water (hydra). Another name for carbohydrates would be saccharides... this is for an example glucose, ribose and so on... and we use fx glucose in cellular respriation.
