why is it important for a health professional working in a particular profession to be knowledgeable about other health professi
attashe74 [19]

It is really important for health professionals to be in contact and also collaborate with each other in order to provide appropriate care for the patients, since our body has multiple systems and a single person cannot learn about all aspects. Generally in all health care systems, professionals work as a team.

For example in case of a surgery, multiple professionals are involved.

Such as a Psychologist mentally prepares the patient as to how a surgery (e.g, amputation) is essential for them, and helps them to cope with their fears.

A Radiologist is required to interpret the radiological (i.e. X-Ray) findings.

An Anesthetist is required to administer the anesthetics.

A Surgeon performs the surgery with assistance of other surgeons and nurses.

A Physiotherapist is required to get the patient out of the bed after the surgery and make them functional so the patient is not bedridden for long.
