To answer this question, you must first know the Pythagorean theorem
c^2= a^2 + b^2
The c will always be your hypotenuse and the legs are a and b
c^2=68^2 + 80^2
c^2= 4,624 + 6,400
c^2= 11,024
Now square root both sides
answer is 105 mi  (104.995 if you want it to be exact)

Use the Pythagorean Theorem:
a^2 + b^2= c^2

a= one side= 68 mi
b= second side= 80 mi
c= hypotenuse= Greenville to Columbia mi

a^2 + b^2= c^2

68^2 + 80^2= c^2
square each number

4,624 + 6,400= c^2

11,024= c^2
take square root of both sides

104.995 mi= c

ANSWER: The distance from Greenville to Columbia is 104.995 miles (rounded to 105 miles).

Hope this helps! :)

<span>3. Two isosceles right triangles

Every square has 4 right angles, so each triangle will have one right triangle, which makes the triangles, right triangles.

They are isosceles because all sides of the square are the same, though the diagonal is not.

List parallelograms, polygons, quadrilaterals, and rectangles in order from the least specific group to the most specific one.
a_sh-v [17]

Answer:

(B)

Step-by-step explanation:

Option (B) is in correct order when talking about the specific ones.

Polygon is the least specific as it can be of many sides.

example: A polygon with 3 sides is a triangle. and the polygon with 4 sides is a quadrilateral.

Hence, quadrilateral is on the second number in least specific group.

Quadrilaterals with 2 sides parallel and equal are known as parallelogram.

Therefore, they are on the 3rd number in specific group.

Parallelograms with opposite sides parallel and equal and all the vertex angles at right angles are known as rectangles.

Therefore, rectangles are the most specific one in the group. The list is given by (option (B):

1) polygons

2) quadrilaterals

3) parallelograms

4) rectangles.
