Let c be the hypotenuse of the triangle and a,b be the length of the other two sides. Then using Pythagoras theorem,

a^2+b^2=c^2\\ a^2=c^2-b^2\\\ a=\sqrt{c^2-b^2} \\

Substitute numerical values, c=4,b=3. then,

a=\sqrt{4^2-3^2}\\ a=\sqrt{7}\\ a=2.646

The length of the other leg rounded to nearest 10th is 2.6.

A² + b² = c²
~~~~~~~~
a² + 3² = 4²
a² + 9 = 16
a² = 7
a² = 2.6 ft
∠1  and ∠2 are supplementary.
Rasek [7]
By definition, supplementary angles are those whose sum is 180°
Therefore, ∠2 = 180 - ∠1
2x + 4 = 180 - 124
2x = 52
x = 26°
True or False: If a function crosses an axis at (a,0), this location is known as an x-intercept of the function.
Kisachek [45]
Answer:
True
Step-by-step explanation:
Given
Location: (a,0)
Required
Does the location represent the x intercept?
The general point form of a function is (x,y)
When y = 0;
This represents that the function crosses the y axis.
And whenever the function crosses the y axis, we have the x intercept of the function
<em>Hence, the statement is true</em>
