Graph: Y - 3 = 1/2 (x+2)
NikAS [45]

Answer:

see graph

Step-by-step explanation:

Personally I put into slope intercept form before graphing

y - 3 = 1/2 (x+2)

y -3 = 1/2x + 1

y = 1/2x + 4

4 is y-intercept

1/2 is slope. \frac{Rise= 1}{Run= 2}

Point A is located at (4, 8) and point B is located at (14, 10) . What point partitions the directed line segment AB¯¯¯¯¯
irga5000 [103]

The point can be found as the weighted average of the given points, with the weights being the reverse of the line segment ratio values. The dividing point D will be

... D = (3*(4, 8) + 1*(14, 10))/(3 + 1) = (12+14, 24+10)/4

... D = (6 1/2, 8 1/2) . . . . . matches your second selection

I need 14 and 15 please!
babymother [125]
14. (n-5)*4+7
15. No, this would not be neccesary because if I were to distribute 1/2 to both 4 and 6, I know that I would get half of those numbers which would give me 2x+3. I also know that if I distribute 1/3 to both 9 and 24, I would get 1/3 of each number which would be 3 and 8.
