Answer: Option 'B' is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Price to enter the carnival = $4

Cost of per ride = $0.50

Since , Number of rides = 7

So, Total amount he will spend is given by

4+0.50\times 7\\\\=4+3.5\\\\=\$7.50

Since Option 'C' is to be eliminate as $9 cant be possible if we take $9 as our answer,

then first we subtract $4 from $5 to get the cost of rides

i.e. 9-4=$5

Now, number of rides will be

\frac{5}{0.5}=10

which is wrong as we have given that he rode only 7 rides , So, Option 'C' is not correct.

Hence, Option 'B' is correct.

Hansika paid $9.25 for 2.8 pounds of pretzels. About how much did she pay for a pound of pretzels?
NeX [460]
Answer: $3.30

Explanation:
You set up a proportion where

9.25      X
------ = -----
2.8        1

Then you cross multiply and see that...
2.8X = 9.25
Then X = 9.25 / 2.8 = 3.30

F(x) = - 2x<br> g(x) = 8x^2– 5x+7<br> Find (f .g)(x).
N76 [4]

Answer:

\large\boxed{(f\cdot g)(x)=-16x^3+10x^2-14x}

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x)=-2x\\\\g(x)=8x^2-5x+7\\\\(f\cdot g)(x)=f(x)\cdot g(x)\\\\\text{substitute:}\\\\(f\cdot g)(x)=(-2x)(8x^2-5x+7)\qquad\text{use the distributive property}\\\\(f\cdot g)(x)=(-2x)(8x^2)+(-2x)(-5x)+(-2x)(7)\\\\(f\cdot g)(x)=-16x^3+10x^2-14x
