<u>Explanation:</u>

American duties act famously known as The Sugar act was passed in the year 1764. This law was created in an attempt to end the illegal supply of sugar and molasses.

The main purpose of this act was to tax on all the imported molasses and secondly to cut down all trading relationship from all the counties except the Britain.

The effects of Sugar Act was severe. Apart from low pricing of sugar, due to this act other trading commodities were also touched.
