Difference of Expression

5a+ 3b -6c -( 20 -4b +13c)

= 5a +3b -6c -20 +4b -13c

In this question, you would be solving the expression by combining like terms.

Solve:

(5a + 3b - 6c) - (20 - 4b + 13c)

Distribute the negative to the variables inside the parenthesis.

5a + 3b - 6c - 20 + 4b - 13c

Combine like terms.

5a + 7b - 6c - 20 - 13c

5a + 7b - 19c - 20

You can't combine anymore like terms now, so your answer would be 5a + 7b - 19c - 20

Answer:

5a + 7b - 19c - 20

We want to solve the two equations
e^{x}=6
and
4^{y+3}=3

First equation.
Take natural log of each side.
ln(e^{x})=ln(6)\\xln(e)=ln(6)\\
x=ln(6)=1.7918
Note that ln(e) = 1 by definition.
Answer: x = 1.79 (nearest hundredth)

Second equation.
Take natural log of each side.
ln(4^{y+3})=ln(3)\\
(y+3)ln(4)=ln(3)\\
y+3= \frac{ln(3)}{ln(4)} =0.7925\\y=0.7925-3=-2.2075
Answer: y = -2.21 (nearest hundredth)

Yuoyoyoyoyoyoyoy HELP!!!
grin007 [14]

Answer:

x = 1.2

Step-by-step explanation:

Essentially, because ABCDE and JKLMN are similar, their corresponding sides have a common ratio. To find x, we can simply the ratio between NJ and its corresponding side equal to the ratio of another pair of corresponding sides.

\frac{BA}{KJ}=\frac{AE}{JN}

\frac{3}{1.8}=\frac{2}{x}

3x = 3.6

x = 1.2

T-T this took waaaaaay too long to be helpful but I hope it is anyways!
