I believe it is both Greek and Rome, but more of Greek
Greek is mentioned in relation to democracy, especially the weaknesses of direct democracy, where citizens would congregate at the mount to air their views and elect the candidate of their choice. The candidate who had hired the most talented shouters often won. The limitation of mob type of democracy informed the rationale behind the electoral college.

Rome is mentioned in relation to the course of imperialism on national cohesion and stability, as well as the capture of a good democratic course by totalitarian regimes.

Why did people in the renaissance admire romans?
vesna_86 [32]

Answer:

Rome was important in the Renaissance for two reasons. First and foremost, ancient Roman learning provided the impetus for new developments in science, art, architecture, and political theory, to name but four fields of study. The rediscovery of the wisdom of the past considerably broadened the horizons of European men, opening up vast new intellectual vistas that had previously lain hidden for centuries. The rediscovery of Roman ideas, in particular, allowed Renaissance men to reconnect with a culture and a heritage long thought to be lost forever.

And that leads us on to the second reason why Rome was so important to the Renaissance. The example of Ancient Rome was a reminder to Italians of the glory that had once been their patrimony. The strength, vitality, and dominance of Rome stood in stark contrast to the weak patchwork of warring states that formed the basis of Renaissance Italy.

Renaissance thinkers like Machiavelli lamented the decline of Italy from the glorious heights it had achieved under the Roman Empire to the appalling depths it had plumbed as a political plaything of hostile foreign forces, most notably France. Rome acted as a reminder of what once had been and could be again; it set before the Italian people an example of what could happen if they set aside their differences and came together as one.

It would be several centuries before such an ideal were realized, but right throughout the Renaissance it continued to exercise a powerful hold on the imaginations of millions of Italians.

The changes in the last 10 years have been astronomical. The Microsoft Program has changed from a simple 20ghz computer (2001-2005). To a "simple" (quote from Bill Gates in his opening statement about the new 100ghz computer) 100ghz gaming hp intel power microsoft windows cpu. The changes in this last 10 to 20 years has been amazing! Alas, some of the "new" changes of this time have come at a "price." For example, the new president of the United States, Donald Trump, his election could be a good thing for America. Unfortunately, since the election of him, the country has been at a up rise against the election of the president. The change that could be good for America, has its good and bad consequences.
A good thing that has changed since the "old days" is the one and only technology. Technology has perks and quirks, but the perks out weigh the quirks by a ton. Technology has changed so much that what we didn't have in 2004, a simple 100ghz gaming hp intel power microsoft windows cpc, is now out and can be used for the people of today.
Change is a good thing, but to much change could be bad also. If we just had the right amount of change when we need it things could go just right.
