Cambodia in the 12th century ruled by Suryavarman II. He was the king of a Khmer kingdom from 1113 AD to 1145-1150 AD. There were frequent conflicts related to power holding in the 12th century. During his reign, the kingdom united with harmony and the construction of Angkor Wat as temple began under Suryavarman II. The temple devoted to Lord Vishnu (Hindu God). The climate of Cambodia is tropical with rainfall and humidity. According to Hindu mythology, the temple surrounded by a large moat to give a copy of gods living on Mount Meru, surrounded by an ocean.
