Because of the overlapping nature of the powers in a federal system, there are often conflicts between the various levels of gov
ernment. This issue of education, mentioned in section 3, is one example of this. What is another example of an issue that has become a problem because of differing ideas/laws from the state to the federal level? What is the current status of this issue today – is it still a problem?
Same Sex Marriage. One state has it, federal law prohibits it. Many states also prohibit it and prohibit recognizing such a marriage from another state. (In essence violating the full faith and credit clause of the constitution, but there are lots of examples that in law) The US supreme court has not weighed in. So the issue is open. This issue could go lots of ways, depending on what cases get to the supreme court.
Emaciated is when someone is abnormally thin usually because they are starved or lacking food. The other 3 words are simply descriptive whereas emaciated could be used in an insulting way.
