By the time you have reached Scene 3 of the play, you have begun to establish a good idea of the characteristics of the main cha

racters. In your journal, write a short character summary of the characters living in the Secret Annex, writing about three to four sentences for each character. Your observations can include elements of their personality or their physical description, and should be supported by details from the play.

Otto Frank

Margot Frank

She is very quiet and withdrawn. She is a very lonely girl and share very little about her feelings.

Anne Frank

There are two personalities inside of her; one is superficial and funny, and the other one is serious. When she is surrounded by people, she is definitely the first one. They both love writing.

Hermann Van Pels

Auguste Van Pels

Peter Van Pels

He is the only one that has his own room. He spends a lot of time lazing around on his bed or doing carpentry. He always seems disinterested.

Fritz Pfeffer

He is a dentist and he also studied medicine. He has his instrument in the house and helps everyone when needed.

3) As used in paragraph 2, which is the best antonym for complex?
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

Answer:

D. simple

Explanation:

As used in paragraph 2, the best antonym for complex is simple.

Complex is known to be a system of different things which are linked or connected in a close or complicated way. Antonym means the opposite of something. So, the opposite of complex as used in paragraph 2 is "simple".

From the passage, the narrator further explained why he said the Ferris Wheel is complex. He revealed that the way the wheel works is complicated. So, the antonym is simple. Option D is correct answer.

“How does Shakespeare convey the complexities of jealousy in Othello?”
Dmitrij [34]
Othello lets his own insecurities create a false image of his wife Desdemona letting the “Green-eyed monster” into his head. This becomes a problem for Othello because he can no longer hide his jealousy and starts to take it out on people.
