This, along with the fact that Tom allows Mr. Wilson to believe that Gatsby was actually having an affair with Myrtle, leads to Gatsby's death. Daisy suffers no visible consequences for Myrtle's death. She goes back to Tom, and together the two of them leave. As Nick says, Daisy, like her husband, is "careless."

Write a speech to persuade people to vote for you as président
PolarNik [594]
If I was in this position I would say people should vote me as president because I'm a leader and I put people's needs first ahead of my own and care for my school or country. If this was in school I would say, if u vote for me I will remove homework, have better cafeteria food, have fun each day, and add vending machines. If you vote for me I would fulfill all my promises and help you out in any way I can. If this was a literal election I would say, I would make this earth a better place, enforce the law more, so no more crime, no more needs to worry, better life support and insurance, better homes for the homeless and orphanage, and also equal rights for every person equally. I would make this earth better and put your needs ahead of my own and help you guys. That's honestly what I would say if I was in the position, I hope it helps you. I want to be president so I can make a change in people's lives and my qualities, well this is my first time running for president so I could say this is a new experience and I'm patient with others, gifted with doing taxes, trustworthy and known to honor my word, and I am a citizen on the US. I also believe in a better future for this earth, that peace will be among people one day and what I want to change, is the crime and the rights, everyone should have equal rights and there should not be crime at all, so I want to change laws and enforce them, littering would be a fine of $100 because you're basically disrespecting and trashing this earth making it look like a wasteland, and I would not force people to do jury duty, I would ask for volunteers instead, and in car accidents, if say for ex person one is crashed by person 2, I would not charge person one for his car even though he was the victim, I would rather force person 2 to pay for the coverages for person 1.

alex41 [277]

Answer:

Tu quoque fallacy (appeal to hypocrisy)

Explanation:

This fallacy is known as the 'you too' fallacy. This fallacy is used when a person is trying to accuse the person pointing out his fault for the same crime. He hereby shows the hypocrisy in the accuser. Instead of accepting the blame for the mistake committed, he tries to distribute the blame so as to absolve himself of the crime.

This is what the driver does in this instance. Instead of accepting the fact that he committed an offense, he rather tries to blame the police officer for allowing the drivers who committed the same offense to drive past.
