igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer:

Option: B) the ruling in the "Dred Scott" case.

Explanation:

The Compromise of 1850 reduced the political dispute between slave and free states (the South and the north). The Compromise of 1850 tried to settle conflicts over slavery as new territories joined America after the Mexican-American War. It admitted California as a free with no slavery, left New Mexico and Utah to decide themselves. It made it easier for slave owners to reclaim runways following the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850.

Why is Thomas Paine so certain that the thirteen U.S. colonies will unite once they have thrown Britain out of their land?
Rzqust [24]

Answer:

He was in strong favor of a war against Britain, if that is what it was going to take to gain independence. Knowing that the war was going to need the support of all the colonists, he understood that unity was essential and found it necessary to offer what he could to help unite the thirteen colonies into one nation.
