This includes traits such as height, thus increasing this trait so that the species is able to reach food in higher places or reach higher places in order to find shelter. This does not have the same effect when dealing with a certain genetic mutation such as dwarfism since the mutation targets a specific value for these traits and is not affected by its environment.
